There was a movie that i watched when i was a child. I remember chocolate candies wrapped in fine beautiful paper, offered in the house of a witch, to where Gerda got on a magically self-moving boat (i thought "don't get on it, don't get on it!"), and in the chocolate was a ring ... the more i think about it the more memories i receive ... For years, i was hoping to discover a ring in a chocolate candy one day.
Today i know that this beautiful movie was a Finnish version of the old story released in 1986 -- Lumikuningatar. Watch this (Gerda and Kai are still playing happily together) and then this (soon, the Snow Queen will kidnap Kai in the winter) and then this (Gerda departs on her search for Kai in the following spring) and you will want to see it all to keep on dreaming

ReplyDeleteBy the way, I have one book of H.C.Andersen "Schönste Kindermärchen". Also last year I watched a film about the tale "The Snow Queen" of the same author.

Andersen a lot more than the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. i am sure in your collection of the "Schönste Kindermärchen" are also the tales of the little mermaid ('Die kleine Meerjungfrau') and the little girl with the matches ('Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern') -- make sure you read those, Axius, they are just so wonderful!
