a difficult journey to a self that is nothing more than an 'impersonal changing phenomenon'. truth hurts sometimes, yet. while the song of the robin is precious. i want to be able to tell it from other birds' song until the end of a life that has been given.

on this path, it is solace and peace that i find in the quiet, in the stillness. as always the skies are the breathtaking sight, in mornings, during the day, and at night. but how to slow down the mind, how to quieten the mind, how to keep the mind here and now. i ring the gong in the morning. strike it every 12 steps on my way. i call you back from your dreams.

i get to marvel at the first snowdrops, sip tea in the sun, welcome the spring. stand still at the fence, looking at the farm vis-a-vis, wondering about the life that is still to come. return to the here and now. turning all attention inside. what sensations appear on the body? what sensations does thinking of you create on my body? how long does any sensation last, how quickly does everything change. the wisdom comes gradually. the smile immediately. happiness kicks in.
the breath is there. always. in out. in out. we often wonder what we want from them. i started asking what it is i want to give. i keep on walking, even if the path is growing longer. i seek the ten parami. i will grow in equanimity. i submit to the truth that i experience inside and around
i send you metta.
