This weekend i took off. And so it was. My bike and i explored Essex and Suffolk together, cycling up north towards Ipswich, breathing fresh air and taking as much of fall's paradise in as we could. i enjoyed everything: the colours, the rain, my couchsurfing host, the sea, the good food, the clouds, the sun, bonfire night and the heartwarming fireworks, the people i met -- they were all so friendly, loving, inspiring people.

being out there, on the road, all by myself... it is freedom, it is true freedom. freedom that makes me laugh and rejoice out loud while i whoosh away on my bike. i was reminded of how much i enjoy travelling all by myself. when the only one i am waiting for is me, when the only thing holding me back is me, when i can stop and look or listen whenever i feel like it, when i can go where i please, when i can go as fast or slow as i please, when there is only me and the land, when i suddenly start talking to the birds and to the other animals that cross my path, when the clouds are my friends and accompany me, when my heart cheers to all the beauty and love it receives.
come along and have a look. there are no words, and even with my camera i will never capture it quite.

Lovely pics! You really captured some of that beauty of the bike ride to the Stour estuary.
