Last night's conversation with Dave was epic.
"How are you?"
"Ah, sooo tired... What about you?"
"Ya, also incredibly tired. What's on for you this week?"
"Work, loads of work... You?"
"Same."
(See, it doesn't really matter who is talking.)
To be fair, Dave was working hard all weekend, paving his way towards completion, while i treated myself to two advanced yoga classes on Saturday. The second was my premiere at Iyengar yoga and what an experience! It felt like driving my awareness down deep into the postures that my body was melting into while in the meantime minutes passed. And that body awareness has stayed with me since. I was so stiff this morning i could barely reach my toes.
Plus, Su and i nailed it yesterday! We built our first raised bed, leaving the farm with pride - and totally exhausted. All that wood-carrying, dirt-wheel-barrowing, hammering and forking made us go to the limits, but the end result was the best one ever. We had been dreaming long of this. Now that we know it is totally doable, we might built many more. (While we were at it, Su at some point remarked: "This is crazy. Normal girls don't do stuff like this." Huh, might be very true!)
This year we are already cultivating three times as much of the plot as last year. It is all very exciting, kale is long in the ground in two varieties, with special kudo thank you credits going to the powerful man force at our side. All dreams come true! It is only a matter of time. And worthwhile all the sore.
