i have completed my most intense bikram yoga experience so far. the challenge was totally unplanned, happened along the way; i went until i stopped. i took class one wednesday and then kept going, each day another class. (usually i go randomly between 3 to 5 times a week.) then, saturday night i could not sleep, lay awake at 4:30am on sunday morning, listening to the early birds outside, me inside purred at by the cat and spontaneously decided to take a double class from 7:45am through 9:30 until 11am to tire myself for the next night. i made it. my clothes were soaked, my body was tired, but an incredible feeling of happiness, satisfaction, calmness after three hours of heat and yoga took hold of me - mind and body. i returned the following monday morning, went another three days afterwards. classes passed faster and faster, my body felt easy and light, strong, and - amazingly - less sore than usual. on thursday though, my mind got tired. it was a night class at 8pm and i wanted to be in any place else but the yoga room. so i knew what i would not be doing the next day and loved this freedom of choice at heart. i stayed away friday, joined critical mass with a friend instead - a funny bike ride through the city - had margaritas and passed by at friends for party. no better way to celebrate 10 classes accomplished in 9 days.
